Shortly after moving to New York, California began training at Scratch Academy, founded by Jam Master Jay from Run-DMC. After perfecting her turntablism and creating her own signature mixes, she quickly established herself among the circuit of Manhattan’s lower-east side clubs and bars with cross-genre hits of '70s Disco, Tropical House, Hip-Hop, and new global finds.
She is a resident at Rumpus Room, along with numerous fashion runways, including NYFW, LA Fashion Magazine, Nolcha Shows, and Negris Le Braum.
When she's not in the DJ booth, California collaborates with hotel, lifestyle, travel, and fashion brands for exclusive mixes and playlists.
California is represented by Downtown Talent Agency.
